Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Kingsway Legion will begin at 1030hrs (10:30 am). Please have the cadets arrive at 10 am and dressed for the weather. Pending what uniform you have been issued - dress for the day will be your DEU. If you don’t have then wear your FTU’s or best civilian clothing. Address is 14339 50 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5A 0S9.

Poppy Tag Day

For those that have signed up for Poppy Tag Day, here is the updated information. Two locations - Oliver Square Safeway and Canadian Tire on Kingsway. Do not come to the unit at the hanger but come to the location you signed up for. This upcoming Saturday, November 2, from 1000-1400hrs (10 am to 2 pm). Wear your DEU, FTU or best civilian attire with preference for the DEU if it has been issued. Also, bring your own water/food.

180 Corps Support Committee AGM at 7pm - Paging all parents, guardians, and friends of 180! The 180 Corps Support Committee is the main sponsoring body for all special activities organized by the Unit. All guests, 18 and over, are welcome to join and help support this fantastic Unit - and we need your help to ensure 180 offers the best program for our cadets! Drop of your cadet and stay for the meeting.

Citizenship Day - City Hall/RAM

Cadets from 180 RCACC will have a tour of Edmonton City Hall, lunch in Church Hill Square, followed by a self guided tour at the Royal Alberta Museum (RAM). Cadets are to be transported to and from the event by their parents. Cadets are to be dropped off at the south entrance of City Hall and picked up in front of the RAM. Cadets will walk from City Hall to Church Hill Square, then to RAM. A Subway lunch will be provided to cadets, if this is not suitable for your cadet please provide an alternate lunch. Cadets will be required to go through security at City Hall, this includes walking through a medal detector and physical search of bags.

There is a Parental Consent form that is required to attend this event. If you haven't turned one in yet or already have a hard copy, you can download one here.

Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) Parade

Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) Parade

The final parade of the year known as the Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) has been booked for 1 June 2024 at the Central Lions Recreation Centre (11113 113 St, Edmonton, AB T5G 0E9). This parade provides an opportunity to highlight the cadets training and achievements over the past year.

Cadets to be dropped off at 0900hrs (9 am) , wearing comfortable appropriate civilian attire to practice. Lunch will be served at 1100hrs (11 am), with time allowing to get into Service Dress aka Distinctive Environmental Uniform (DEU) uniform.

Guests are asked to be seated at 1245hrs (12:45 pm) with the parade starting promptly at 1300hrs (1 pm).

Parade to be followed by an opportunity to review the displays created by the cadets on aspects of the completed training year, accompanied with light refreshments.

All personnel to depart the building by 1545hrs (3:45 pm).

Expedition training for the Silver and Gold Star cadets that have previously signed up. Drop off location is LCol Philip L. Debney Armoury on Friday, May 24, at 1800hrs (6 pm) and pick up on Sunday, May 26, at 1530hrs (3:30 pm).

Field Training Exercise (FTX)

Cadets are to be dropped off at “Fort Scott - Legion of Frontiersmen” on Friday, May 3 at 1800hrs (6 pm) wearing their FTU’s (field training uniform) with all the items listed on the supply list. This is an overnight exercise where they will continue developing their field training, navigation and trekking skills. All meals will be provided but please eat prior to showing up on the Friday as dinner in not provided. The cadets are to be picked up at the same location on Sunday, May 5 at 1600hrs (4 pm).

Orienteering Day

Orienteering Day

Orienteering day will be conducted with 2836 & 2551 RCACC as an Area Directed Activity. Please drop off and pick up cadets at Rundle Park - Site #6 on Saturday, April 27. The training will be conducted between 0900-1600hrs (9 am to 4 pm). Please wear appropriate civilian sports attire with footwear suitable for walking and running outdoors and current weather conditions. Lunch will be provided and bring a water bottle.
